The Dualcomm ETAP-XG 10G Network TAP is a patented, cost-effective, and highly versatile solution for capturing data traffic across both copper and fiber networks. With support for data rates ranging from 100Mb/s to 25Gb/s (100M/1G/2.5G/5G/10G/25G), it is the first 10G-25G Network TAP on the market priced under $1,000.

At its core lies an innovative, patented high-gigabit signal duplication technology that eliminates the need for 10G+ fanout buffer IC chips (US Patent No. 11,677,654). This breakthrough ensures superior signal fidelity, enhances reliability, and minimizes power consumption.

The ETAP-XG features two inline network ports and two monitor ports, all equipped with SFP28/SFP+/SFP slots that accommodate both copper and fiber transceiver modules. This flexibility makes it adaptable to a wide range of network configurations.

Each monitor port captures a one-way copy of the inline traffic, ensuring zero packet loss—even in high-traffic scenarios—while avoiding any packet delay. This makes the ETAP-XG ideal for real-time industrial applications.

When configured as an optical TAP, there's no need to specify an optical split ratio. Additionally, both monitor ports can be set up as copper RJ45 ports if required.

Built for industrial environments, the ETAP-XG is designed to operate across a broad temperature range, from -25°C to 85°C.

Compatible SFP+/SFP modules are available, tested, and qualified to work seamlessly with the ETAP-XG.

Notes:

  1. Fiber SFP modules are generally compatible with the ETAP-XG.
  2. 10G copper SFP modules are typically supported.
  3. The ETAP-XG may not support certain 1000Base-T gigabit copper SFP modules. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use tri-speed (10/100/1000Base-T) copper SFPs.
  4. Direct Attach Cables (DAC) may not provide reliable performance at 10/25Gbps when used with the ETAP-XG, but it can be used relaibly at 1G/2.5Gbps
